The website for the Brighton store links to an extensive menu of food including burgers, sides and such but when arriving none of these options were available. Had I known this I'd have eaten somewhere else first. I feel I spent money on inferior store-bought pizza for double the price when the website clearly advertises something more appealing. I feel this could quite easily be classed as 'Bait-and-switch' as I was drawn in by items that were not even on the menu despite being advertised as such and then sold an inferior, more expensive product. The waiter at the counter was adamant that the website does not say that they do burgers and yet I double checked and it's right there: https://www.steinbeckandshaw.c o.uk/brighton 1. Go to the Brighton site 2. Click the eat tab 3. Click download menu You are then redirected to this: http://email.ukcn.com/skull-me nus/playlist/playlist-food.pdf Which is a pretty extensive menu that isn't available in-store. My second big complaint is that I know for a fact that the four cheese pizza that was served is in-fact store bought. It's quite a distinctive pizza and it retails at Asda for £4.00 despite being charged £8.00, which is exactly DOUBLE the amount. When paying £8.00 as you can imagine I'd expect an original, in-house made pizza. if a pizza is store-bought this is obviously a big detractor as no one wants to pay double for a pizza they can stick in the oven at home and yet at no time or place was this pizza advertised as the "Chicago Town Takeaway Large Four Cheese Stuffed Crust Pizza (store-bought)" https://centra.ie/thumbnail/80 0x800/var/files/brandbank/5019 312896428-6061-a85ea8-Chicago- Town-The-Takeaway-Four-Cheese- Melt-Stuffed-Crust-630g.jpg I've had the Chicago pizza before, I know for a fact they are the same pizza. Yet this pizza was advertised as a standard margarita pizza with no store bought disclaimer or anything like that. You HAVE to advertise these things you cannot bring people in with a false menu and then sell them store-bought pizza at DOUBLE the prize. That's wrong, you cannot do that as it's fraudulent. It's a shame as the drinks were very good and priced well, and the staff were generally decent but the food was a scam.
